ABSTRACT The non‐indigenous brown alga Rugulopteryx okamurae has rapidly expanded across the eastern Atlantic and the western Mediterranean Sea. The first record on the Catalan coast (NW Mediterranean) was in July 2024 in Llançà (Girona), followed by additional detections at nearby localities.
