Assessing the Milky Way Satellites Associated with the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy
Numerical models of the tidal disruption of the Sagittarius (Sgr) dwarf galaxy have recently been developed that for the first time simultaneously satisfy most observational constraints on the angular position, distance, and radial velocity trends of ...

An assessment of the measurement of the Lense-Thirring effect in the Earth gravity field, in reply to: ``On the measurement of the Lense-Thirring effect using the nodes of the LAGEOS satellites, in reply to ``On the reliability of the so far performed tests for measuring the Lense-Thirring effect with the LAGEOS satellites'' by L. Iorio,'' by I. Ciufolini and E. Pavlis [PDF]
In this paper we reply to recent claims by Ciufolini and Pavlis about certain aspects of the measurement of the general relativistic Lense-Thirring effect in the gravitational field of the Earth.

This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

Automated Streak Detection for High Velocity Objects: Test with YSTAR-NEOPAT Images [PDF]
We developed an algorithm to efficiently detect streaks in survey images and made a performance test with YSTAR-NEOPAT images obtained by the 0.5m telescope stationed in South Africa. Fast moving objects whose apparent speeds exceed 10 arcsec/min are the

Artificial satellites dynamics: resonant effects [PDF]
In this work, the resonance problem in the artificial satelli tes motion is studied. The development of the geopotential includes the zonal harmonicsJ20 and J40 and the tesseral harmonicsJ22 and J42. Through succes- sive Mathieu transformations, the order of dynamical syste m is reduced and the final system is solved by numerical integration.

Testing General Relativity and gravitational physics using the LARES satellite
The discovery of the accelerating expansion of the Universe, thought to be driven by a mysterious form of `dark energy' constituting most of the Universe, has further revived the interest in testing Einstein's theory of General Relativity.

Mapping the substructure in the Galactic halo with the next generation of astrometric satellites [PDF]
We run numerical simulations of the disruption of satellite galaxies in a Galactic potential to build up the entire stellar halo, in order to investigate what the next generation of astrometric satellites will reveal by observing the halo of the Milky ...

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Autonomous navigation for artificial satellites [PDF]
An autonomous navigation system is considered that provides a satellite with sufficient numbers and types of sensors, as well as computational hardware and software, to enable it to track itself.
