Behavior and phylogenetic relations among artiodactyla families (Artiodactyla, Mammalia)
Biology Bulletin Reviews, 2011Phylogenetic relationships among five contemporary Artiodactyla families (Suidae, Tragulidae, Moschidae, Bovide, Cervidae) are studied using the cluster analysis of 45 behavioral features in representatives of 51 genera. Representatives of ancient Suidae and Tragulidae groups are shown to contain archaic patterns in their behavioral repertoire and form

Structure and evolution of artiodactyla haptoglobins
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 19781. Artiodactyla haptoglobins (Hps), goat, sheep and cattle (family Bovidae), and pig (family Suidae) were structurally characterized. 2. The polymeric Hp systems of goat, sheep and cattle were similar to the polymeric human Hp system, while the monomeric system of pig was more comparable to the monomeric human form. 3.

A Molecular Supertree of the Artiodactyla
2004Despite the size of the order and the conservation importance of many of its members, no complete species-level phylogeny of extant artiodactyls (sensu stricto) exists. Matrix Representation with Parsimony, which has been used already in reconstructions of primate and carnivore phylogeny, was used to build a supertree of the order.

The effect of respiration activity ??n the dimensions of the nasal cavity entrance was studied in 60 representatives of Ruminantia (Mammalia, Artiodactyla). It is established that in animals which adapted to quick and prolong progressive movement requiring ??n increase in the nasal cavity capacity the dimensions of the nasal cavity entrance ??r ...
