Fishing gear used by artisanal fishery of Selinunte

The aim of this work was to identify and classify the fishing gear used by the artisanal fishing fleet of Selinunte (Trapani, Sicily, Italy). The artisanal fishery guest in Selinunte port counts 43 fishing boats, with a gross tonnage (GRT) of about 90 metric tons; the average age of boats is about 33 years.
