Artists’ Books as Resistant Transmitters [PDF]

open access: yesArts, 2019
Since the early 1970s, the origins of artists’ books have been extensively discussed and documented (Drücker, Lauf, Lippard, Phillpot, Gilbert et al.), yet the genre continues to generate new questions and paradoxes regarding its place and status within the visual arts as a primary medium. Whilst the conception of contemporary artists’ books lay in the

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.

Deformable Attention Multiscale Feature Fusion Network‐Dehaze: An Adaptive Image Dehazing Method Based on Deformable Attention Multiscale Fusion Network

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper presents the deformable attention multiscale feature fusion network‐dehaze adaptive image dehazing network, which integrates three core modules (revised residual shrinkage unit, multiscale attention, cross‐scale feature fusion). It incorporates deformable convolution and multiscale attention mechanisms to address the detail loss issue of ...
