In Situ Lithium Nitridosilicate Interlayer via Reactive Anolyte Design for All‐Solid‐State Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Interfacial reactions in all‐solid‐state batteries are conventionally suppressed; here, they are designed. Vacancy‐rich β‐Li3N, acting as an anolyte, reacts controllably with silicon during composite anode fabrication, building a purpose‐made lithium nitridosilicate interlayer on every particle surface.

How speed makes a difference : A case study of 100- meter races

open access: yes, 2016
Swimming faster has always been of interest to coaches. How we perceive time and swimming speed is vital to how we train, interpret the results of training, plan for completion and evaluate performance.

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery

Being-sportshuman: lived experience by a disabled athlete with Down syndrome in artistic swimming

open access: yes, 2023
Historicamente, as práticas corporais foram negligenciadas para a pessoa com deficiência justificada por paradigmas cartesiano e mecanicista de corpo. Apenas em meados do século XX que instituições e políticas públicas alertaram que àquelas deveriam ser para todos.

Redox‐Confined Interfacial Polymerization Enables Mechanically Robust and Self‐Adhesive Nanofilms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Redox‐confined polymerization of a simple thiol monomer at a water‐organic interface generates robust freestanding films with nanoscale thickness. The resulting disulfide‐crosslinked nanofilms combine high stiffness with intrinsic adhesion to soft substrates, enabling conformal contact with artificial skin without additional functionalization.

Textile‐Based Capacitive Pressure Sensors Enabled by Ultrasonic Spray‐Coated Carbon Black Electrodes and Electrostatic Flocking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A 4‐layer Kevlar‐based composite is fabricated by combining ultrasonic spraying and electrostatic flocking. Carbon black dispersion is first deposited onto Kevlar fabric to create a conductive electrode. Nylon fibers are then electrostatically flocked onto the coated fabric, forming a dielectric layer.
