Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.

Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.This work reports composite Pneumatic Twisted Coiled Actuators with embedded Kevlar fibers that convert pneumatic or hydraulic pressure into powerful linear motion. A novel precise manufacturing technique is used to systematically explore how design variables influence actuator mechanics and dynamics.

Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.
