Photophysical Modulation of an Elongated Ir(III) Complex by a Resorcin[4]arene Monomer Host

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, EarlyView.
An elongated Ir(III) complex is preferentially accommodated within the cavity of a monomeric resorcin[4]arene host rather than within a hexameric capsule. The resulting supramolecular assembly exhibits enhanced photoluminescence, attributed to π–π interactions between the guest and the host.
