طی سال­های 91-92 یک بررسی فونستیک جهت جمع ­آوری و شناسایی کنه ­های بالا خانواده Ascoidea مرتبط با باغ‌های زیتون در استان گیلان انجام شد. در این بررسی هفت گونه متعلق به پنج جنس از دو خانواده  Ascidae و Ameroseiidae جمع ­آوری و شناسایی شدند.
