Differential Proteomics of Large Extracellular Vesicles in Ovarian Cancer
ABSTRACT Diverse extracellular vesicles (EVs) are present in all body fluids; however, knowledge of large EVs (lEVs) remains limited. Molecular EV profiles vary depending on EV size and the physiological circulatory system, even within the same patient. In this study, we aimed to characterize the proteomic profile of IEVs in ovarian cancer patients and

Portal hypertension, a critical complication in chronic liver disease, has long relied on invasive hepatic venous pressure gradient measurement for definitive diagnosis. This study establishes that multifrequency three‐dimensional magnetic resonance elastography (3D‐MRE) can noninvasively quantify portal pressure, with splenic stiffness and loss ...

Abstract ROS1‐rearranged lung adenocarcinoma is a rare subset of non‐small‐cell lung cancer, typically occurring in young never‐smokers. Its occurrence in very young men with a fluid‐dominant presentation is unusual and may lead to diagnostic pitfalls.

Eosinophilic Ascites and Duodenal Obstruction in a Patient with Liver Cirrhosis [PDF]
Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG) is a rare disease characterized by eosinophilic infiltration of portions of the gastrointestinal tract. Eosinophilic ascites is probably the most unusual and rare presentation of EG and is generally associated with the ...

Lithospermic acid (LA) inactivates the p53 signaling pathway via directly targeting SIRT3, thereby alleviating oxidative stress and abnormal apoptosis in the progression of doxorubicin (Dox)‐induced cardiomyocytes. ABSTRACT Doxorubicin (Dox)‐induced cardiomyopathy (DIC) is characterized by significant myocardial damage that can progress to dilated ...

Manual method versus flow cytometry for diagnosing spontaneous bacterial peritonitis
Background Diagnosing spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) requires a high clinical index of suspicion because the clinical presentation varies widely. Early detection and treatment of SBP are crucial for improving survival rates.

Cell culture biomechanical conditions influence extracellular vesicles (EVs) production in patient‐derived pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell lines. When grown in 3D conformation and in hydrogels with lower elasticity (0.5kPA), PDAC cells produce higher numbers of EVs, compared with cells grown in 2D on classic cell culture plastic.
