Comparative Analysis of Diversification Rates in Clonal and Non‐Clonal Flowering Plants
Using data from 16,465 angiosperm species across 2,997 genera, we classified genera as clonal, mixed, or non‐clonal and estimated diversification using genus‐level phylogeny with DR, MoM, and BAMM. Clonal genera consistently showed lower diversification rates than mixed and non‐clonal genera across all methods.

Fairness at Risk: Where Bias Emerges in Machine Learning
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) now shape decisions in healthcare, finance and security, but they can reproduce historical prejudice and inequality. Bias in training data and in model implementation can amplify harm, especially for racial and gender minorities.

Somatic genome‐doubling is the most parsimonious route to allopolyploidy
Summary The origin of a polyploid can hinge on a single errant cell division, a mistake in the cell cycle that leads to genome‐doubling and re‐writes the rules of chromosome pairing and segregation. In plants, the evolutionary significance of these errors is magnified by lack of an early sequestered germline, meaning somatic mutations can be heritable.

Ecotypes of the cosmopolitan moss Bryum argenteum differ markedly in growth, reproductive timing, and allocation across contrasting tropical ecosystems. These patterns reveal strong environment‐ and sex‐dependent life‐history strategies, highlighting the species as a model for studying ecological divergence in bryophytes.
