A pangenome‐based approach reveals genes associated with polyploidy and apomixis in Eragrostis curvula

Abstract Eragrostis curvula is a forage grass species in which multiple cytotypes coexist and shifts between sexual and apomictic reproduction are common. This study investigates genetic variation among these cytotypes in relation to ploidy levels and reproductive modes.

Molecular Detection, Epidemiology and Genetic Diversity of Babesia microti Infecting Wild Rodents

Blood samples from 284 rodents captured across seven districts of Pakistan were screened for Babesia microti using 18S rRNA PCR. Overall prevalence was 12%, with infection detected in Rattus rattus, Mus musculus and Rattus norvegicus. Phylogenetic analysis showed close similarity with global isolates.
