Electric Separation of Ash and Slag Waste Kashirskaya GRES

Ecology and Industry of Russia, 2023
The advantage of electrical separation in the processing of classified ash and slag as the main separation operation was substantiated. It was recommended to switch to electrical separation as the first technological operation and carry out the entire cycle of ash and slag processing using dry methods due to their economic benefits compared to wet ones.

Complex Technology of Ash and Slag Waste from Power Plants

Ecology and Industry of Russia, 2021
The development of a comprehensive technology for the processing of ash waste (ASW), which is based on the extraction of carbon from the CSO by flotation method and iron-containing minerals by means of magnetic separation, is presented. The proposed approach is based on the extraction of carbon from ash and slag by flotation and iron-containing ...

Radioactivity of Coal and Ash-Slag TPP Wastes

Atomic Energy, 2013
The radionuclide content in coal from different deposits and ash-slag wastes from coal-burning thermal power plants (TPP) as well as in atmospheric emissions together with fly ash from TPP is analyzed. The problems of using coal with high content of naturally occurring radionuclides and methods for solving them at the Urtuiskii lignite deposit in ...

Leaching behavior of fly ash-waste glass and fly ash-slag-waste glass-based geopolymers

Ceramics International, 2018
Abstract The leaching behavior of contaminants in the fly ash/waste glass or fly ash/blast furnace slag/waste glass-based geopolymers was investigated through surface area analysis and leaching tests. Spent fluorescent lamps classified as hazardous waste due to their specific contaminant contents were used as a source of waste glass. The results from

Obtaining Silicon-Carbide-Based Ceramics from Ash and Slag Wastes

Technical Physics Letters, 2020
The possibility of obtaining solid silicon-carbide-based ceramics from ash and slag wastes (ASWs) is demonstrated. The technological process contains three stages: (i) nonvacuum processing of the initial ASWs in dc arc discharge carbon plasma under normal atmospheric condition, (ii) cleaning of the obtained powdered material from unbound carbon by ...

Prospects of ash, slag and solid mineral industrial waste utilization

2007 International Forum on Strategic Technology, 2007
The availability in Russia and especially in the Siberian region of a great number of heat power plants working on hard coal and industrial enterprises producing a lot of mineral waste as a result of their operation raises the question of an urgent need to reduce pollution of the environment.
