We describe the functional anatomy of masticatory muscles in nine opossums, finding a generalized anatomical pattern with differences related to skull morphology. Variation in quantitative myological data and estimated bite force was mostly related to size, and the increase in bite force supports dietary diversification associated with size increase ...

The role of histone arginine methylation in gene expression of airway smooth muscle cells in asthma [PDF]
Introduction and objectives: Asthma is estimated to affect at least 300 million people globally. About 25% of the patients do not respond to therapy; therefore we need to develop novel treatments. ASM cells have a crucial role in asthma, contributing to

Dynamics of natural killer cell function upon recurrent stimulation
Weekly stimulation of peripheral blood‐derived NK cells with engineered K562 feeder cells resulted in two distinct growth phases, shifting around Day 21–26. Cells in growth phase 2 exhibited slower growth, reduced metabolic activity, and lower cytotoxicity than cells from growth phase 1, which has implications for NK cell biomanufacturing.

ABSTRACT Hexanuclear cyclic Gd(III) coordination compounds are promising candidates for magnetic and magnetocaloric applications, yet systematic series remain rare due to synthetic challenges. We report the synthesis and characterization of five new complexes with the general formula [Gd(H3bt)(carboxylate)]6, employing four different carboxylate ...
