UAV-based magnetic survey for detecting hydrothermal alteration zones relevant to landslides: A case study at Aso Volcano, Japan

open access: yesProgress in Earth and Planetary Science
We combined a regional aeromagnetic survey with an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV; drone)-based magnetic survey to map low-magnetization zones associated with intensive hydrothermal activity on the western flank of the central cones of Aso Volcano, Kyushu,

An investigation of volcanic depressions. Part 1: Airfall and intrusive pyroclastic deposits. Part 2: Subaerial pyroclastic flows and their deposits [PDF]

open access: yes
Pyroclastic ejecta and the deposits they form were classified in many ways, and many interpretations were given to individual terms. Some classifications are based on the modes of orgin and deposition of the ejecta; others emphasized the chemical and ...

MAGNETIZATION OF ASO VOLCANO

open access: yesMAGNETIZATION OF ASO VOLCANO
To investigate the status of the magnetization of Aso Volcano, Geomagnetic surveys at Aso volcanic region have been done for many years. From these results we found the two kinds of geomagnetic anomalies, i. e., one is the general magnetization of Aso Caldera and the other is the local anomaly which is classified into the several limitted places.

The Radon Contents of Fumarolic Gases from the Crater of Volcano Aso

open access: yesNippon kagaku zassi, 1961
