Aspects of generic entanglement

open access: yes, 2004
We study entanglement and other correlation properties of random states in high-dimensional bipartite systems. These correlations are quantified by parameters that are subject to the "concentration of measure" phenomenon, meaning that on a large ...

Aspects of ABJ Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we will analyse the deformation of a ABJ theory in harmonic superspace. So, we will first discuss deformations of the harmonic superspace by a graviphoton background and then study the ABJ theory in this deformed harmonic superspace.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Detecting quasiconvexity: algorithmic aspects

open access: yes, 1995
The main result of this paper states that for any group $G$ with an automatic structure $L$ with unique representatives one can construct a uniform partial algorithm which detects $L$-rational subgroups and gives their preimages in $L$.

Astroparticle Aspects of Supersymmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
After recalling the motivations for expecting supersymmetry to appear at energies below 1 TeV, the reasons why the lightest supersymmetric particle is an ideal candidate for cold dark matter are reviewed from a historical perspective. Recent calculations

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Verbal Analytical Forms with Modifier ОДЫР-‘to sit’ in Khakass Language

open access: yesНаучный диалог, 2018
The article deals with the semantics of the form -ып одыр in the Khakass language. It is noted that the researchers of the Turkic languages of Southern Siberia differently determine the content of the form -ып одыр : as a designation of process ...

Structural aspects of tilings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, we study the structure of the set of tilings produced by any given tile-set. For better understanding this structure, we address the set of finite patterns that each tiling contains.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Epistemological Aspects of Hope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Hope is an attitude with a distinctive epistemological dimension: it is incompatible with knowledge. This chapter examines hope as it relates to knowledge but also to probability and inductive considerations.
