Principles for Rigorous Design and Application of Synthetic Microbial Communities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SynComs are artificially designed to enable inter‐species metabolic interactions, metabolic division of labor, and ecological interactions that can elicit phenotypes like colonization stability and environmental adaptation. This systematic review explores the processes used to construct SynComs, the assessment of the mechanisms of metabolic interaction

MicrobeDiscover: A Knowledge Graph–Enabled AI Framework for Identifying Microbes for Inorganic Nanomaterial Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.

Studies on the Amylase Formation by Aspergillus sp

open access: yesJournal of the agricultural chemical society of Japan, 1954

Hybridization of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis to Develop a Novel Biocatalyst via Immobilization of Lipase on Surface Modified Mesoporous Silica Towards Biodiesel Synthesis Application

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The 3‐(methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane surface functionalized SBA‐15 (MP‐SBA‐15) is used for the first time as a lipase carrier. The immobilized CAL‐B exhibits high thermal stability and superior catalytic activity. CAL‐B/SBA‐15 suggests that optimum hydrophobicity gives better catalytic activity.

Microbial conversion of progesterone with Aspergillus sp. [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Engineering Research, 2015
The conversion of progesterone (1) by Aspergillus sp. was studied. The major metabolites formed from progesterone were identified as 11α-hydroxyl progesterone (2), 15α-hydroxyl progesterone (3), 15β-hydroxypreg-1,4-dien-3,20-dione (4), 6β,11α-dihydroxypregesterone (5).Conversion products were characterized by spectroscopic methods including H NMR, C ...
