Hydrothermal recovery of asphalt from asphalt concrete
Construction and Building Materials, 2016Abstract The use of non-organic, environmentally friendly solvents such as water is essential for recovery of useful products from construction sector wastes, including asphalt concrete. Here, hydrothermal water was utilized to recover asphalt from asphalt concrete in a batch-type reactor (autoclave) of internal volume 500 mL.

Fatigue character comparison between high modulus asphalt concrete and matrix asphalt concrete
Construction and Building Materials, 2019Abstract An innovative approach for characterizing the fatigue character of high modulus asphalt concrete (HMAC) and matrix asphalt concrete was presented. Strain-life fatigue equations based on uniaxial tensile test are employed to extract parameters characteristic of the asphalt concrete's resistance to fatigue.

Field Aging Effects on Fatigue of Asphalt Concrete and Asphalt-Rubber Concrete
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2001A study was undertaken to investigate the influence of field aging on the fatigue performance of asphalt concrete and asphalt-rubber concrete. Two California mixes were investigated: conventional asphalt concrete dense graded (CAC-DG) and asphalt-rubber hot-mix gap graded (ARHM-GG).
