Performance Evaluation of Warm Mix Asphalt Mixtures with Recycled Asphalt Pavement
Warm mix asphalt (WMA) technology provides not only the production of asphalt pavement at a lower temperature than the temperature maintained in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) but also encourages the utilization of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and therefore saves energy and nonrenewable resources as well as reduces emissions and fuel consumption.

Abstract Near‐surface permafrost degradation has the potential to damage infrastructure needed to sustain Arctic communities, but risk assessments remain highly uncertain due to a limited representation of the Arctic circumpolar building stock. With deep learning building footprint detection and building occupancy classification models, we expand the ...

A Study Of In-Place Rutting Of Asphalt Pavements [PDF]
The objective of this study was to evaluate in-place pavements experiencing rutting and pavements experiencing no rutting to begin to classify asphalt mixtures that should perform satisfactorily and those that would likely rut under traffic.

Effect of the processing conditions on the viscoelastic properties of a high-RAP recycled asphalt mixture: micromechanical and experimental approaches [PDF]
With the depletion of the virgin aggregates, many efforts have been oriented towards the recycling of the reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). However, quality control of the recycled product is required during the manufacture process.

The Importance of Tire Wear Particles for Atmospheric Ice Nucleation
Abstract Tire wear particles (TWPs) are prevalent microplastic particles in the atmosphere and pose significant environmental and health risks to humans. Here, we investigated the ice nucleation activity (INA) of TWPs under mixed‐phase cloud conditions (∼−20.0°C < T < −5.0°C) and its changes caused by different environmental exposures, including UV and
