Oxidation of Petroleum Asphaltenes Coupled with Iodination [PDF]
© 2020, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. Oxidation of petroleum asphaltenes by potassium iodide (KI) is described. Oxidation under mild conditions is shown to be accompanied by iodination of the asphaltene aromatic core. The

The Critical Micelle Concentration of Asphaltenes as Measured by Calorimetry [PDF]
Micellization of asphaltenes in solution has been investigated using a micro calorimetric titration procedure (Andersen, S. I.; Birdi, K. S. J Colloid Interface Sci. 1991, 142, 497).

Mixture Effect on the Dilatation Rheology of Asphaltenes-Laden Interfaces [PDF]
Asphaltenes are a solubility class of crude oils comprising polyaromatic and heterocyclic molecules with different interfacial activities. The previously neglected effects of compositional mixture on dilatational rheology are discussed in the light of ...

Waxes in asphaltenes of crude oils and wax deposits
Composition and molecular mass distribution of n-alkanes in asphaltenes of crude oils of different ages and in wax deposits formed in the borehole equipment were studied. In asphaltenes, n-alkanes from C12 to C60 were detected.
