Antum Crater: A Window Into Ganymede's Icy Evolution

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Located within the extensive dark terrain of Marius Regio, in the anti‐Jovian trailing quadrant of Ganymede, Antum crater is marked by dark‐rayed ejecta that obscure older features and reshape the surrounding landscape. This study investigates Antum and its geological context using optical and infrared data from the Voyager and Galileo ...

A review on thermogravimetric analysis‐based analyses of the pyrolysis kinetics of oil shale and coal

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 329-355, January 2024.
This paper examines oil shale and coal as the primary research subjects and summarizes recent progress in pyrolysis kinetics studies based on thermogravimetric analysis from the aspects of research methods, influencing factors, and research progress. Abstract Solid fossil fuels still support the development of the energy and chemical industry.

Benefaction and Pyrolysis of Sirnak Asphaltite and Lignite

open access: yesInternational Journal of Clean Coal and Energy, 2014
Depending on advanced technological developments in energy production the low quality coals needed the most economical technologies and even in order to make it possible to produce coal-derived products. Compliance with environmental norms of coal pyrolysis or gasification of various type of coals, feasible combustion systems and energy production ...

Asphalt Fill Strengthening of Free Slip Surfaces of Shale Slopes in Asphaltite Open Quarry: Stability Analysis of Free Sliding Surface for Wet Shale Slopes in Avgamasya Asphaltite Open Quarry No 2. Site

open access: yes, 2020
The stability analysis carried out by GEO5 software and uses free sliding analysis by wet and pore saturated weight charting provided the safety factor of 1.35. The safety precautions were followed by inclinometers and wire extensometer measurements. The

Comportamiento de una Mezcla Densa en Caliente Elaborada con Asfaltos Modificados con Asfaltita

open access: yesTecnoLógicas, 2009
Laboratory tests were used to evaluate the effect on the mechanical properties of a hot asphalt mix (MDC-2 as per INVIAS, 2007 specifications) due to the addition by wet way of a natural asphaltite from the San Alberto Mine (Santander, Colombia).

Ion irradiation of asphaltite as an analogue of solid hydrocarbons in the interstellar medium [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2005
We present the results of experiments of low temperature ion irradiation of pure asphaltite samples and those covered with water ice layers. Asphaltite (a natural bitumen) was used as an analogue of carbonaceous interstellar grains on which water- rich icy mantles can be formed in the dense and cold phases of the interstellar medium.
