Flow‐Induced Vascular Remodeling on‐Chip: Implications for Anti‐VEGF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flow‐induced vascular remodeling plays a critical role in network stabilization and function. Using a vasculature‐on‐chip system, this study reveals how physiological VEGF levels and flow affect vascular remodeling and provides insights into tumor vessel normalization.

Dexamethasone Delivery via Amphiphilic, Low‐swelling Hydrogels Treats Postoperative Inflammation in Cervical Spine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
DexaPatch, an implantable, low‐swelling amphiphilic hydrogel system containing dexamethasone‐PLGA microparticles, is developed and characterized for sustained local steroid release to reduce postoperative inflammation in tight surgical spaces. DexaPatch significantly reduces postoperative edema and fibrosis in a rabbit model of anterior spinal surgery,

A simulated electronic market with speculative behaviour and bubble formation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
This paper presents an agent based model of an electronic market with two types of trading agents. One type follows a mean reverting strategy and the other, the speculative trader, tracks the maximum realised return over recent trades. The speculators have a distribution of returns concentrated on negative returns, with a small fraction making profits.

Expectations structure in asset pricing experiments [PDF]

open access: yes
Notwithstanding the recognized importance of traders’ expectations in characterizing the observed market dynamics, for instance the formation of speculative bubbles and crashes on financial markets, little attention has been devoted so far by economists ...

Herding in a Laboratory Asset Market with a Rich Action Set [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper experimentally examines the efficiency of information aggregation in a simple asset market. Traders decide how to allocate an endowment of 1000 eurocent between two assets.

Engineering Triboelectric Paper for Energy Harvesting and Smart Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering nano‐graphite coated paper (NG@P) is produced to serve as triboelectric layers and electrodes for TENGs. Ultra‐high power density above 14 kW m−2 is achieved due to the electrostatic discharge on the surface. Moreover, smart home sensors are fabricated using the NG@P for motion sensing and sleep monitoring, which could be used for security ...
