Blood Factor Association

Vox Sanguinis, 1966
SummaryInformation about association of two attributes with frequencies p1and p2in a sample of size n is measured by p1(1 ‐ P1)p2(1‐p2)n. Examination of the 55 associations within multiple allelic systems for factors studied in northeastern Brazil shows that while many of them are significant in small samples, many others could be detected only in ...

Tumor-Associated Eosinophilotactic Factor

New England Journal of Medicine, 1974
Abstract In an attempt to understand the association of a malignant tumor and marked peripheral blood eosinophilia, a tumor-derived factor was sought. A peptide of approximately 500 molecular weight, preferentially chemotactic for eosinophils, was extracted from a large-cell anaplastic carcinoma of the lung removed from a patient with eosinophilia both

TBP-associated factors in Arabidopsis

Gene, 2004
Initiation of transcription mediated by RNA polymerase II requires a number of transcription factors among which TFIID is the major core promoter recognition factor. TFIID is composed of highly conserved factors which include the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and about 14 TBP-associated factors (TAFs). Since TAFs play important roles in transcription they

Factors Associated With Antidepressant Choice

Psychosomatics, 1995
Previous studies have suggested that nonpsychiatrists tend to prescribe antidepressants (ADs) with the most side effects (SEs), whereas psychiatrists are more likely to prescribe more ADs with fewer SEs. The authors used a questionnaire to examine the antidepressant prescribing pattern, conditions for which ADs were prescribed, and SEs of concern to ...

Risk Factors Associated with Immobility

Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, 1988
In nursing homes, immobility and related complications are major problems with profound health care and financial implications. We conducted a retrospective study to identify risk factors associated with immobility. We compared factors in 34 nonambulatory residents with those in 12 independent ambulatory residents who served as controls.

Factors associated with mammographic pattern

The British Journal of Radiology, 1985
Wolfe's criteria were assigned to mammograms of 202 women without breast cancer. Parity decreased the frequency of P2 patterns but not DY. P1 and N1 patterns apparently increased at the expense of P2 patterns. For every birth, the probability that a P2 pattern changed to P1 or N1 was roughly 7 or 8%.
