Solvation Structure and Dynamics of the Thiocyanate Anion in mixed N,N‐Dimethylformamide‐Water Solvents: A Molecular Dynamics Approach

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The solvation structure and dynamics of the SCN− anion in mixed N, N‐Dimethylformamide (DMF)‐water liquid solvents is investigated using classical molecular dynamics simulations. A preferential solvation of SCN− by the water molecules is observed in the first hydration shell, followed by a second shell consisting by both DMF and water molecules.

New identities for Legendre associated functions of integral order and degree [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
In the solution of the boundary value problems of mathematical physics in a separable 3-dimensional coordinate system, the shape of the boundary of the space may be such that the Green's function of the second order differential operator can be expanded ...

Mellin transforms with only critical zeros: Legendre functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the Mellin transforms of certain Legendre functions based upon the ordinary and associated Legendre polynomials. We show that the transforms have polynomial factors whose zeros lie all on the critical line View the MathML sourceRes=1/2.

Climate‐driven resource availability drives medium‐ and broad‐scale temporal changes in owl–prey interactions over 24 years in a semi‐arid ecosystem

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Predator–prey interactions are vital to ecosystem functioning but may be disrupted by climate change. We investigated a food‐web network involving three owl species over 24 years in a semi‐arid ecosystem at Bosque Fray Jorge National Park, Chile.

Ring-Shaped Potential and a Class of Relevant Integrals Involved Universal Associated Legendre Polynomials with Complicated Arguments

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
We find that the solution of the polar angular differential equation can be written as the universal associated Legendre polynomials. Its generating function is applied to obtain an analytical result for a class of interesting integrals involving ...

Maximising trait evenness promotes the recovery of plant species richness in managed grasslands

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Land‐use intensification threatens biodiversity, and restoring degraded ecosystems remains challenging due to the difficulty of identifying the rules governing community assembly and dynamics. Investigating the temporal dynamics of trait‐abundance distributions (TADs) along long‐term time series offers a promising approach to disentangle the influence ...

The Mehler-Fock Transform in Signal Processing

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
Many signals can be described as functions on the unit disk (ball). In the framework of group representations it is well-known how to construct Hilbert-spaces containing these functions that have the groups SU(1,N) as their symmetry groups.

Computation of high degree associated Legendre functions and derivatives using extended double precision [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011

Table of associated Legendre functions of the first kind for values on the real axis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This data set is a tabulation of associated Legendre functions of the first, sometimes called the regular solutions, computed for values on the real axis ranging from 0.0 to 10.0.

Development of a Zebrafish Embryo‐Based Test System for Thyroid Hormone System Disruption: 3Rs in Ecotoxicological Research

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology and Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract There is increasing concern regarding pollutants disrupting the vertebrate thyroid hormone (TH) system, which is crucial for development. Thus, identification of TH system–disrupting chemicals (THSDCs) is an important requirement in the Organisation for Economic Co‐operation and Development (OECD) testing framework.
