Machine Learning Interatomic Potentials for Energy Materials: Architectures, Training Strategies, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Machine learning interatomic potentials bridge quantum accuracy and computational efficiency for materials discovery. Architectures from Gaussian process regression to equivariant graph neural networks, training strategies including active learning and foundation models, and applications in solid‐state electrolytes, batteries, electrocatalysts ...

Mutually inverse series relating Ferrers and associated Legendre functions and generating functions pertaining to them [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
This article deals with three types of mutually inverse series relating Ferrers and associated Legendre functions of arbitrary complex indexes and orders established on the base of integral representations by using a number of generating functions (some ...

Legendre polynomials, Legendre–Stirling numbers, and the left-definite spectral analysis of the Legendre differential expression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper, we develop the left-definite spectral theory associated with the self-adjoint operator A(k) in L2(−1,1), generated from the classical second-order Legendre differential equationℓL,k[y](t)=−((1−t2)y′)′+ky=λy(t∈(−1,1)),that has the Legendre ...

DIFFERENTIAL CROSS SECTION ANALYSIS IN KAON PHOTOPRODUCTION USING ASSOCIATED LEGENDRE POLYNOMIALS [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2009
Angular distributions of differential cross sections from the latest CLAS data sets,6 for the reaction γ + p→K+ + Λ have been analyzed using associated Legendre polynomials. This analysis is based upon theoretical calculations in Ref. 1 where all sixteen observables in kaon photoproduction can be classified into four Legendre classes.

A new subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions associated with Legendre polynomials

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
<p>In this paper, we introduce a new subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disc $ U. $ For this subclass of functions, estimates of the initial coefficients $ \left\vert A_{2}\right\vert $ and $ \left\vert A_{3}\right\vert $ of the Taylor-Maclaurin series are given.

Modified F‐tests for assessing tree radial growth under linear‐circular regression models with correlated errors: A comprehensive toolbox rooted in G. E. P. Box's theorems

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Annual tree growth is a complex biological process. Modelling radial growth in the trunk by linear‐circular regression with one mode and correlated errors has allowed the definition and assessment of a preferred direction for 1 and 2 years. Here, modified F$$ F $$‐tests are presented for 3 years, 1 mode/year; 1 year, 2 modes for possible main ...

COMPACTLY SUPPORTED WAVELETS DERIVED FROM LEGENDRE POLYNOMIALS: SPHERICAL HARMONIC WAVELETS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
: A new family of wavelets is introduced, which is associated with Legendre polynomials. These wavelets, termed spherical harmonic or Legendre wavelets, possess compact support.

Extended forms of Legendre-Laguerre-based hybrid polynomials and their characteristics via fractional operator approach

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
This study presents an extensive generalization of Legendre–Laguerre polynomials along with their Appell-type counterparts. Using the quasi-monomiality approach, we establish core analytical features, including recurrence relations, associated ...

Some further results on Legendre numbers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1988
The Legendre numbers, Pnm, are expressed in terms of those numbers, Pkm−1, in the previous column down to Pnm and in terms of those, Pkm, above but in the same column. Other results are given for numbers close to a given number. The limit of the quotient
