Powers of edge ideals

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2012
We compute the Betti numbers for all the powers of initial and final lexsegment edge ideals. For the powers of the edge ideal of an anti–d−path, we prove that they have linear quotients and we characterize the normally torsion–free ideals. We determine a

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Boundary value problems for integro-differential and singular higher-order differential equations

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
We investigate third-order strongly nonlinear differential equations of the type (Φ(k(t)u″(t)))′=f(t,u(t),u′(t),u″(t)),a.e. on[0,T],\left(\Phi \left(k\left(t){u}^{^{\prime\prime} }\left(t)))^{\prime} =f\left(t,u\left(t),u^{\prime} \left(t),{u}^{^{\prime ...

On the solvability of third-order three point systems of differential equations with dependence on the first derivative [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
This paper presents sufficient conditions for the solvability of the third order three point boundary value problem \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{array}{c} -u^{\prime \prime \prime }(t)=f(t,\,v(t),\,v^{\prime }(t)) \\ -v^{\prime \prime \prime }(t)=h(t,\,u(t),\,u^{\prime }(t)) \\ u(0)=u^{\prime }(0)=0,u^{\prime }(1)=\alpha u^{\prime }(\eta ) \\ v(0 ...

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

On the stable set of associated prime ideals of a monomial ideal [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
It is shown that any set of nonzero monomial prime ideals can be realized as the stable set of associated prime ideals of a monomial ideal. Moreover, an algorithm is given to compute the stable set of associated prime ideals of a monomial ideal.

Search for $W^\prime$ signal via $tW^\prime$ associated production at LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A variety of new physics models predict the existence of extra charged gauge bosons ($W^\prime$). It is verified that $W^\prime$ and top quark associated production is a promising process to search for $W^\prime$ signal at the LHC. We study the collider signatures of multi-jets$+$lepton$+\met$ by reconstructing the $tW'$ intermediate state through the ...

KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...
