Causal associations between risk factors and common diseases inferred from GWAS summary data
Health risk factors such as body mass index (BMI) and serum cholesterol are associated with many common diseases. It often remains unclear whether the risk factors are cause or consequence of disease, or whether the associations are the result of ...

ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

STATISTICAL ESTIMATION OF PRODUCTION FUNCTIONS AND AGRICULTURAL COSTS AND MEASURES OF PRODUCTIVITY EFFICIENCY OF WATER USERS' ASSOCIATIONS OF DIFFERENT IRRIGATION SYSTEMS IN AL-BEHEIRA GOVERNORATE [PDF]
Egypt suffers from future risks due to lack of water especially in the downstream countries, Egypt and Sudan, which depend on the Nile water almost entirely and the upstream countries are moving to raise problems with Egypt and erect dams and pressure on

ABSTRACT Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a rare pediatric CD30‐positive T‐cell lymphoproliferative disorder with an excellent prognosis, but its genomic drivers are poorly defined. We report three children with skin‐limited disease demonstrating striking molecular heterogeneity, including NPM::ALK, NUP214::FRK, and a novel ...

Associativity and Non-Associativity of Some Hypergraph Products [PDF]
Several variants of hypergraph products have been introduced as generalizations of the strong and direct products of graphs. Here we show that only some of them are associative. In addition to the Cartesian product, these are the minimal rank preserving direct product, and the normal product. Counter-examples are given for the strong product as well as

ABSTRACT Background Combined oral contraceptive (COC) use in obese adult women dramatically increases the relative risk of developing a pulmonary embolism (PE). The risk of a PE in obese adolescent females taking contraceptives is currently unknown. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI) and contraceptive

PhenoScanner: a database of human genotype–phenotype associations
Summary: PhenoScanner is a curated database of publicly available results from large-scale genetic association studies. This tool aims to facilitate ‘phenome scans’, the cross-referencing of genetic variants with many phenotypes, to help aid ...

From genome-wide associations to candidate causal variants by statistical fine-mapping
Advancing from statistical associations of complex traits with genetic markers to understanding the functional genetic variants that influence traits is often a complex process.
