Zhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2015 A homological characterization of the Ding projective dimensions of modules over arbitrary associative rings is give. Also, we prove that an iteration of the procedure used to define the Ding projective modules yields exactly the Ding projective modules.
