Nerolidol derivatives from Asteriscus sericeus

Phytochemistry, 1987
Abstract The aerial parts of Asteriscus sericeus afforded, as other species of this genus, the humulene derivatives asteriscunolide A-D and two new types of nerolidol derivative, their structures being elucidated by high field NMR techniques.

Bioactive humulene derivatives from Asteriscus vogelii

Phytochemistry, 2001
The bioactive fractions obtained from the extract of Asteriscus vogelii afforded a new humulene derivative, the 8-oxo-6,7,9,10-tetrahydrohumulen-1,12-olide (1), in addition to the known asteriscunolides A (2), C (3) and D (4), and the acids 8-oxo-alpha-humula-6Z,9Z-dien-12-oic acid (5), 8-oxo-alpha-humula-6E,9Z-dien- 12-oic acid (6) and 8-oxo-alpha ...

Comparative study of carp otolith hardness: Lapillus and asteriscus

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2013
Otoliths are calcium carbonate biominerals in the inner ear of vertebrates; they play a role in balance, movement, and sound perception. Two types of otoliths in freshwater carp are investigated using nano- and micro-indentation: asteriscus and lapillus. The hardness, modulus, and creep of asteriscus (vaterite crystals) and lapillus (aragonite crystals)

Sesquiterpenoids Isolated from Two Species of the Asteriscus Alliance

Journal of Natural Products, 2016
Investigation of the aerial parts of two Spanish members of the Asteriscus alliance, Asteriscus graveolens subsp. stenophyllus and Asteriscus schultzii, afforded four new sesquiterpene lactones containing a humulene skeleton (1-4) and one new sesquiterpene lactone of the asteriscanolide type (5).
