The Hermean Helium Exosphere—Continuous and Sporadic Helium Release Processes
Abstract Since its detection by Mariner 10, helium has been a key focus in studies of Mercury's exosphere. Recently, Weichbold et al. (2025), https://doi.org/10.1029/2024je008679 provided the first in situ helium measurements, inferring density from Ion Cyclotron Wave (ICW) events observed by the MESSENGER spacecraft.

Review of asteroid, meteor, and meteorite‐type links
Abstract With the goal to determine the origin of our meteorites in the asteroid belt, video and photographic observations of meteors have now tracked 75 meteorite falls. Six years ago, there were just hints that different meteorite types arrived on different orbits, but now, the number of orbits (N) is high enough for distinct patterns to emerge.

Predicting Performance of Hall Effect Ion Source Using Machine Learning
This study introduces HallNN, a machine learning tool for predicting Hall effect ion source performance using a neural network ensemble trained on data generated from numerical simulations. HallNN provides faster and more accurate predictions than numerical methods and traditional scaling laws, making it valuable for designing and optimizing Hall ...

SAFARI: Searching Asteroids For Activity Revealing Indicators [PDF]
Active asteroids behave dynamically like asteroids but display comet-like comae. These objects are poorly understood, with only about 30 identified to date. We have conducted one of the deepest systematic searches for asteroid activity by making use of deep images from the Dark Energy Camera (DECam) ideally suited to the task.

On the origin of the Almahata-Sitta meteorite and 2008TC3 asteroid [PDF]
Asteroid 2008TC3 was a Near Earth Asteroid that impacted the Earth on 2008 October 7. Meteorites were produced by the break-up of 2008TC3 in the high atmosphere and at present, about 600 meteorites - called Almahata Sitta - coming from 2008TC3 have been recovered.

Migration of Near Earth Asteroid to Jovian-Crosser Asteroid:Case Study 3552 Don Quixote [PDF]
It is generally recognized that main-belt asteroids (MBAs) and nuclei of extinct comets are the two main sources for the Near-Earth-Asteroids (NEAs). Theoretical studies of NEAs dynamics and numerical modelling of their orbital motions showed that the resonance mechanism for supplying NEAs is quite sufficient to sustain this population.
