Topographic recognition of the asteroidal surface
A stereo vision system with fisheye lens cameras is newly proposed as an onboard instrument of a future asteroid lander. The system is designed to recognize an entire landscape around the landing/touchdown point with a pair of super-wide-angle fisheye lens cameras.
