Asteroseismology of Be stars [PDF]
Classical Be stars – i.e. non-supergiants B stars with some emission – are very intriguing objects. They represent nearly 20% of B stars. Emission originates in a circumstellar envelope more or less concentrated around the equator, and whose origin is so far unexplained.

Asteroseismology and the Infrared
2006Asteroseismolgy is a mature technique allowing to study the internal structure of pulsating stars. This technique has been successfully applied to the sun where it allowed for the first time to determine the boudaries of the convective zone and the dependency of rotation with depth and solar latitude.

Asteroseismology: results and prospects
Symposium - International Astronomical Union, 1988Asteroseismology is interpreted as an extension of the field of variable stars, and not just as the stellar analogue of helioseismology. The main effects of stellar mass and evolution on oscillation frequencies are discussed with the help of simplified wave-propagation diagrams.

Scientists studying the oscillations of the sun have gained remarkable insights into its interior structure and properties. In his Perspective, [Gough][1] highlights a recent study, which has extended such seismological studies to a more distant sunlike star, heralding the birth of asteroseismology. Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 2005
The increasing number of pulsating modes in a star leads to the increase of the amount of information derived from the pulsation. Probing the invisible interior of stars is a dream come true. In this review, I summarize the fundamental properties of stellar pulsations and the excitation mechanisms, emphasizing several cases of recent progress.

Asteroseismology & Interferometry
2005Asteroseismology aims at constraining the stellar evolution theory, and allows to determine the age of stars together with other fundamental parameters. We present recent results obtained by interferometry, and prospects for the future.

Asteroseismology with robotic telescopes
Astronomische Nachrichten, 2004AbstractAsteroseismology explores the interior of pulsating stars by analysing their normal mode spectrum. The detection of a sufficient number of pulsation modes for seismic modelling of main sequence variables requires large quantities of highprecision time resolved photometry.
