PLATO as it is: A legacy mission for Galactic archaeology
Deciphering the assembly history of the Milky Way is a formidable task, which becomes possible only if one can produce high‐resolution chrono‐chemo‐kinematical maps of the Galaxy. Data from large‐scale astrometric and spectroscopic surveys will soon provide us with a well‐defined view of the current chemo‐kinematical structure of the Milky Way, but it ...

The Dark Side of Neutron Stars
We review severe constraints on asymmetric bosonic dark matter based on observations of old neutron stars. Under certain conditions, dark matter particles in the form of asymmetric bosonic WIMPs can be effectively trapped onto nearby neutron stars, where they can rapidly thermalize and concentrate in the core of the star.

Revisiting the δ Scuti star FG Virginis using Kepler K2 and TESS data
FG Virginis is a δ Scuti variable star that was the target of several ground-based multisite photometric campaigns from 1992 to 2004. Over 75 pulsation frequencies were detected (Breger et al., Astron.

From Dust Bowl to Dust Bowl: Soils are Still Very Much a Frontier of Science
When the Soil Science Society of America was created, 75 yr ago, the USA was suffering from major dust storms, causing the loss of enormous amounts of topsoil as well as human lives. These catastrophic events reminded public officials that soils are essential to society's well‐being. The Soil Conservation Service was founded and farmers were encouraged

NONLINEAR ASTEROSEISMOLOGY OF RR LYRAE [PDF]
The observations of the Kepler space telescope revealed that fundamental-mode RR Lyrae stars may show various radial overtones. The presence of multiple radial modes may allow us to conduct nonlinear asteroseismology: comparison of mode amplitudes and frequency shifts between observations and models.

T35: A Small Automatic Telescope for Long‐Term Observing Campaigns
The T35 is a small telescope (14″) equipped with a large format CCD camera installed in the Sierra Nevada Observatory (SNO) in Southern Spain. This telescope will be a useful tool for the detecting and the studying of pulsating stars, particularly, in open clusters.

Asteroseismology with SuperWASP [PDF]
AbstractThe highly successful SuperWASP planetary transit finding programme has surveyed a large fraction of both the northern and southern skies. There now exists in its archive over 420 billion photometric measurements for more than 31 million stars.

Tracing early stellar evolution with asteroseismology: pre-main sequence stars in NGC 2264
Asteroseismology has been proven to be a successful tool to unravel details of the internal structure for different types of stars in various stages of their main sequence and post-main sequence evolution.

The Quest for Pulsating M Dwarf Stars
Recent fully non-adiabatic theoretical studies of M dwarf models show that they have the potential to excite radial, and low-order, low-degree non-radial modes, as well as solar-like oscillations, due to models being completely convective or having large
