A bright off-nuclear X-ray source: A bright off-nuclear X-ray source: a type IIn supernova, a bright ULX or a recoiling super-massive black hole in CXO J122518.6+144545 [PDF]

In this Paper we report the discovery of CXO J122518.6+144545; a peculiar X-ray source with a position 3.6+-0.2",off-nuclear from an SDSS DR7 z=0.0447 galaxy. The 3.6" offset corresponds to 3.2 kpc at the distance of the galaxy.

Rock Coatings as Evidence for Late Surface Alteration on the Floor of Jezero Crater, Mars

Abstract During the NASA Perseverance rover's exploration of the Jezero crater floor, coatings were commonly observed on rocks. These features may record past water‐rock‐atmosphere interactions on the crater floor, and understanding their origin is important for constraining the timing of potential water activity and habitability at Jezero.

Interstellar CH absorption in the diffuse interstellar medium along the sight-lines to G10.6–0.4 (W31C), W49N, and W51 [PDF]

We report the detection of the ground state N, J = 1, 3/2 → 1, 1/2 doublet of the methylidyne radical CH at ~532 GHz and ~536 GHz with the Herschel/HIFI instrument along the sight-line to the massive star-forming regions G10.6–0.4 (W31C), W49N, and W51.
