The results of astroclimate research at the Kara-Dag radioastronomical station (Crimea) from July 22 to September 21, 2017, are presented. The algorithms for processing the data obtained by the atmospheric profile method are analyzed. The broad bands of the MIAP-2 receivers are shown to lead to a non-cosecant dependence of the antenna temperatures on ...

Astroclimate parameters of the surface layer in the Sayan Solar Observatory
SPIE Proceedings, 2009High-altitude profiles of the parameters of atmospheric air currents in the lower surface layer were measured with the use of a meteorological mast of 32 m in height. A mobile ultrasonic meteosystem was used for the measurements. The theory of similarity for turbulence in anisotropic boundary layer has been verified. The measured vertical profiles of

Millimeter-wave astroclimate investigations on badary observatory near Baikal lake
2017 XXXIInd General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI GASS), 2017This paper deals with results of long-term astroclimate investigations in millimeter-wave band in the Badary observatory near Baikal lake. The optical depths for the 3-millimeter and 2-millimeter-band windows have been determined with the atmospheric dip method.

Repeated testing of under dome astroclimate of AZT-33 telescope
SPIE Proceedings, 2009Based on the results of repeated measurements of under dome airstreams parameters of the AZT-33 telescope, some conclusions have been drawn, allowing improvement in quality of astronomic images in the telescope. After fulfillment of a part of recommended works, changes of under dome climate were compared with the measurements of 2005.

ASTROCLIMATE OF THE TERSKOL PEAK OBSERVATORY
Proceedings of the XVIII Conference of Young Scientists “Interaction of fields and radiation with matter”Atmospheric turbulence characteristics are important for determining the quality of astronomical imaging and implementing adaptive systems. The paper studies the vertical distributions of optical turbulence at the Terskol Peak Observatory (43.27472° N 42.50083° E, 3127 m above sea level) using the Era-5 reanalysis, optical scintillation measurements ...

Ecuador's Astroclimate, 2010–2025
Country-scale astro-climatology and site-screening for Ecuador, integrating reanalysis, satellite, and geospatial layers into operational products for observatories. From ERA5 (2010–2025) we derive three night-time metrics—photometric clear-sky fraction (CSNF), precipitable water vapour (PWV), and 200-hPa wind speed (V200)—and combine them into an ...openaire +1 more source
