The Terzan 5 puzzle: discovery of a third, metal-poor component
We report on the discovery of 3 metal-poor giant stars in Terzan 5, a complex stellar system in the the Galactic bulge, known to have two populations at [Fe/H]=-0.25 and +0.3. For these 3 stars we present new echelle spectra obtained with NIRSPEC at Keck

Biological barriers prevent nanotherapeutics successful accumulation at target cells, limiting diagnosis and treatment responses. The surface of magnetic nanodiscs in a spin‐vortex ground state is modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecules, which allow a reduction of the macrophage's uptake, while maintaining the nanodiscs’ biocompatibility.

Descartes on Place and Motion: A Reading through Cartesian Commentaries**
Abstract This paper offers a reconstruction of the interpretations of Descartes's ideas of place and motion by Dutch Cartesians (Henricus Regius, Johannes de Raey, Johannes Clauberg, and Christoph Wittich). Labile assembly of a tardigrade protein induces biostasis
Abstract Tardigrades are microscopic animals that survive desiccation by inducing biostasis. To survive drying tardigrades rely on intrinsically disordered CAHS proteins, which also function to prevent perturbations induced by drying in vitro and in heterologous systems.
