Multiband Study of Radio Sources of the RCR Catalogue with Virtual Observatory Tools

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2012
We present early results of our multiband study of the RATAN Cold Revised (RCR) catalogue obtained from seven cycles of the “Cold” survey carried with the RATAN-600 radio telescope at 7.6 cm in 1980-1999, at the declination of the SS 433 source.

Querying an astronomical database using large language models: the ALeRCE text-to-SQL system

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
We developed a text-to-structured query language (SQL) system based on large language models (LLMs) using in-context learning and applied it to the Automatic Learning for the Rapid Classification of Events (ALeRCE) astronomical database.

Long-Term Multi-Band and Polarimetric View of Mkn 421: Motivations for an Integrated Open-Data Platform for Blazar Optical Polarimetry

open access: yesGalaxies, 2017
In this work, by making use of the large software and database resources made available through online facilities such as the ASI Science Data Center (ASDC), we present a novel approach to the modelling of blazar emission whereby the multi-epoch SED for ...

Towards a definition of a meteor cluster. Detection of meteor clusters from meteor orbit databases [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
As of today, there is no official definition of a meteor cluster. It is usually identified as a large number of meteors sharing a similar radiant and velocity, all occurring within a few seconds. Only eight clusters have been reported so far, from single-

The Use of Multiwavelength Archival Observational Data for Scientific Discoveries: a Case of the Supernova Remnant Cassiopeia A

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2012
Most of the high-quality astronomical data after a proprietary period of typically one year are provided to open access, allowing researchers to complement their observations with the archival data in other wavelength bands, thus improving quality of the
