Simultaneous Multi‐Resonant Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence and Room Temperature Phosphorescence from Biluminescent Nitrogen‐Containing Indolocarbazoles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An extremely rare type of organic biluminescent emission is reported that consists of delayed emission resulting from both the fluorescence (multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence) and phosphorescence spectra at room temperature, and the lifetimes of the two processes exhibit opposing dependence with temperature.

Solar‐Powered Hierarchical Microenvironments with Authigenic Multi‐Field Synergies for Simultaneous Extraction of Freshwater and Cesium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomass‐based solar‐powered hierarchical self‐extraction micro‐network (BSSM) is first proposed to achieve freshwater production and Cs+ extraction. This study establishes a transformative paradigm for resource recovery, providing a scalable and eco‐friendly panacea to address pressing global issues, including water scarcity, nuclear pollution, and ...

Interfacial Momentum Matching for Ohmic Van Der Waals Contact Construction

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 4, April 2025.
Establishing ohmic contacts on 2D material‐based electronic devices is challenging but critical. While most efforts focus on improving metal‐semiconductor band‐structure alignment, the effects of charge carrier momentum (p) distribution at the interfaces are often overlooked.

The Rockets for Extended-source X-ray Spectroscopy Instrument Design

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The Rockets for Extended-source X-ray Spectroscopy (tREXS) are a series of suborbital rocket payloads designed to collect spectral emission from extended astronomical sources of soft X-rays. The tREXS spectrograph uses mechanical beam-shaping modules and

Achieving High Ferroelectric Polarization in Ultrathin BaTiO3 Films on Si

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 4, April 2025.
A high remanent polarization is demonstrated in 10 nm ferroelectric polycrystalline BaTiO3 films on Si wafers for the first time, which is also competitive with the epitaxial state‐of‐the‐art. The growth is achieved through the development and use of platinum silicide.

Layer‐By‐Layer Approach to Improve the Capacitance of Conducting Polymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes the synthesis and characterization of a composite material based on poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) and poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxypyrrole) (PEDOP) deposited in a layer‐by‐layer approach. Due to the developed electroactive area coming from the presence of 3D nanostructures, PEDOT/PEDOP demonstrates superior areal capacitance ...

Ultrathin High‐Efficiency Zener Diode Fabricated Using Organized ZnS Nanoparticles in Surface‐Grafted Poly(methacrylic acid) Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a unique approach for fabricating homogeneously dispersed ZnS nanoparticles within an ultra‐thin (<40 nm) polymer matrix. The uniformity of dispersion is ensured through post‐polymerization substitution of Zn2⁺‐terminated side groups in surface‐grafted PMAA brushes. Due to the homogeneous distribution of semi‐conducting nanoparticles,
