Neuron‐Inspired Biomolecular Memcapacitors Formed Using Droplet Interface Bilayer Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this article, a biomolecular model neuron capable of integrating charge is proposed, evaluated, and simulated as a soft neuromorphic device. The device traps charge within microfluidic droplets using lipid membranes and voltage‐activated pores. The trapped charge produces electrowetting of the lipid interfaces, which facilitates multiple memory ...

Inkjet Printed Multifunctional Graphene Sensors for Flexible and Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The sensitivity of electrical properties of graphene to external stimuli are used to demonstrate multifunctional inkjet‐printed graphene sensors for the detection of pressure, temperature, humidity, and magnetic field. By combining the design freedom of inkjet printing with the unique properties of graphene, multifunctional devices are achieved ...

Ag Nanowire‐Integrated MoS2/ZnO Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient Photogenerated Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A versatile strategy is reported for fabricating multi‐dimensional heterojunctions with significantly improved charge transfer capability. By integrating Ag nanowires with a MoS2/ZnO heterojunction, a fourfold increase in surface photovoltage is achieved, reaching 200 mV under visible light illumination.

Layer‐By‐Layer Approach to Improve the Capacitance of Conducting Polymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes the synthesis and characterization of a composite material based on poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) and poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxypyrrole) (PEDOP) deposited in a layer‐by‐layer approach. Due to the developed electroactive area coming from the presence of 3D nanostructures, PEDOT/PEDOP demonstrates superior areal capacitance ...

Ultrathin High‐Efficiency Zener Diode Fabricated Using Organized ZnS Nanoparticles in Surface‐Grafted Poly(methacrylic acid) Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a unique approach for fabricating homogeneously dispersed ZnS nanoparticles within an ultra‐thin (<40 nm) polymer matrix. The uniformity of dispersion is ensured through post‐polymerization substitution of Zn2⁺‐terminated side groups in surface‐grafted PMAA brushes. Due to the homogeneous distribution of semi‐conducting nanoparticles,

Low‐boiling Point Perfluorocarbon Nanodroplets as Dual‐Phase Dual‐Modality MR/US Contrast Agent

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 23, Issue 24, December 16, 2022., 2022
Low‐boiling point perfluorocarbon nanodroplets is vaporized into microbubbles using acoustic activation, establishing them as phase‐change contrast agents for ultrasound. The unique hyperCEST signatures of nanodroplets and microbubbles are demonstrated, enabling their use not only as a dual‐phase but also as a dual‐modality MR/US contrast agent ...
