An atomic clock synchronized versatile all-in-one digital 'LockBox'. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep
A reliable and robust active stabilization of different control parameters is key to the success of many experiments. The essential hardware for that; lock-in detection, RF generator, and proportional-integral-derivative feedback control should have ...

Cherenkov Telescope Ring - An Idea for World Wide Monitoring of the VHE Sky [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
With very high energy (VHE) gamma-ray astronomy becoming a mature branch of observational astrophysics, and the multi-messenger sky being opened up by neutrino observatories and gravitational wave detectors, we here propose to set up a ring of imaging ...

Hot super-Earths stripped by their host stars

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Theory predicts a deficit of super-Earth sized planets, which orbit close to their host star. Here, Lundkvist et al. use data from the NASA Kepler mission to show that this deficit is also seen in observations, thereby providing new insight into ...

Electron acceleration in a coil target-driven low-β magnetic reconnection simulation

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes, 2023
Magnetic reconnection driven by a capacitor coil target is an innovative way to investigate low-β magnetic reconnection in the laboratory, where β is the ratio of particle thermal pressure to magnetic pressure.

Self‐Detecting Mid‐Infrared Dual‐Comb Spectroscopy Based on High‐Speed Injection‐Locked Quantum Cascade Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
A compact self‐detecting dual‐comb spectroscopy (DCS) system based on dispersion‐engineered, high‐speed packaged quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) at λ≈4.6 μm under coherent injection locking is demonstrated. Broad multiheterodyne comb signal with reduced tooth linewidths by orders of magnitude is recorded.
