Tunable Terahertz Generation in Dispersion‐Engineered ZnTe Waveguides
A dispersion‐engineered Zinc Telluride (ZnTe) slab waveguide platform enables tunable and efficient guided‐wave terahertz (THz) generation through modal phase matching. By tailoring the optical and THz modal dispersion, coherent THz emission is achieved across 0.1–3 THz.

Methods We identify an intrinsic dihedral (D2$$ {D}_2 $$) symmetry of diffusion signals for arbitrary diffusion encoding, which defines their natural signal space (a quotient of 3D rotations).

Front contact selection governs interfacial stability in CdTe‐based (Cd(Se,Te)) solar cells on ultra‐thin space‐qualified cover glass. Optimized TCO/emitter combinations suppress interdiffusion and deliver up to 16.2% AM0 efficiency with high specific power, demonstrating strong potential for lightweight space photovoltaics.
