MXene‐Coated 3D Printed Horn Antennas for Ku Frequency Band

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An additive manufacturing approach to 3D printing horn antennas and coating them with Ti3C2Tx MXene is proposed. Rapid fabrication of lightweight, high‐performance antennas operating in the Ku‐band (12.4–18 GHz) has been demonstrated. The MXene‐coated antennas exhibit comparable electromagnetic performance to conventional, costly aluminum ones, with ...

Linking Device Performance to Nanoscale Photoactivation of Grain Boundaries in 2D Hybrid Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The opto‐electronic response of polycrystalline (PEA)2PbBr4 thin films is investigated by correlating macroscopic photodetector performance with nanoscale mapping techniques. Grain boundary density is systematically tuned through crystallization control and linked to device responsivity.

The Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting Survey: Data Release 1

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
We present the first data release (DR1) of the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting (MWISP) survey, a mapping in the J  = 1 → 0 transition lines of ^12 CO, ^13 CO, and C ^18 O toward the northern Galactic plane during 2011–2022.

The NIKA instrument: results and perspectives towards a permanent KID based camera for the Pico Veleta observatory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The New IRAM KIDs Array (NIKA) is a pathfinder instrument devoted to millimetric astronomy. In 2009 it was the first multiplexed KID camera on the sky; currently it is installed at the focal plane of the IRAM 30-meters telescope at Pico Veleta (Spain ...

Flexible and High‐Performance Perovskite‐Polymer Composites for Dual X‐Ray and Proton Direct Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A polymer–perovskite composite obtained by mechanochemical synthesis enables thick, tunable active layers for efficient absorption of highly penetrating ionizing radiation. Vertical‐electrode detectors achieve low X‐ray detection limits and high sensitivity direct 5 MeV proton sensing.

The Arecibo Observatory as an MST radar [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The radars and other systems at the Arecibo Observatory were designed and built, originally, for incoherent-scatter and radio-astronomy research. More recently, important additions have been made for planetary radar and artificial RF heating of the ...
