Theta Aurora: Transpolar Arcs Linked to a Folded Magnetotail Neutral Sheet
Abstract Nightside‐originating transpolar arcs (TPAs) represent a distinct mechanism of magnetosphere‐ionosphere energy transfer during northward IMF conditions. Nightside‐originating TPAs originate from the nightside auroral oval and grow across the polar cap to connect to the dayside, appearing to cross multiple topological boundaries as they develop.

Abstract The bow shock current (BSC) flows on the bow shock due to the compression of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) across the shock. Although previous studies have shown that the BSC can connect to magnetospheric current systems via the magnetosheath, it is still not known how this happens.

MMS Observations of Multi‐Species Wave‐Particle Interactions and Rapid Foreshock Evolution
Abstract The ion foreshock is the region upstream of Earth's bow shock where magnetic field lines connect to the quasi‐parallel shock surface. Within this region, there exist a variety of backstreaming ion populations from the shock ramp that can generate ultra‐low frequency (ULF) waves through wave‐particle interactions. In this work, we use data from

Abstract We present a case study of large amplitude, compressional Pc5 waves observed by GOES 13 and 15 at geosynchronous orbit near noon. These waves were excited near the arrival time of two consecutive solar wind dynamic pressure spikes at the magnetopause, the second of which was associated with a large and rapid southward turning of the ...

Neutral Wind Dynamics in High‐Latitude Regions During the 17 March 2013 Storm
Abstract Neutral winds play a critical role in transporting mass, momentum, and energy throughout the upper atmosphere. During geomagnetic storms, momentum is transferred to the thermosphere primarily through ion–neutral collisions, along with other forces. This study investigates high‐latitude neutral wind dynamics during the 17 March 2013 storm using
