A Specification Model of Saturn's Plasma Environment

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract We present the first empirical‐based specification model of Saturn's plasma environment based on the analysis of all publicly available plasma moment data sets derived using multiple techniques from Cassini observations made by the Cassini Plasma Spectrometer and the Radio and Plasma Wave Science instrument.

Bridging in Situ Satellite Measurements and Simulations of Magnetic Reconnection Using Recurrent Neural Networks

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Magnetic reconnection is inherently structured, with distinct spatial regions such as inflows, outflows, and separatrices playing key roles in energy conversion and particle transport. While in situ spacecraft measurements provide detailed local information, determining where a spacecraft lies within the global reconnection geometry remains a ...

Characterization of the Sedimentary Cover in the City of Aïn Témouchent, Northwest Algeria, Using Ambient Noise Measurements

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The city of Aïn Témouchent, located in northwest Algeria at the westernmost part of the Lower Cheliff Basin, has experienced several moderate earthquakes, the most significant of which occurred on 22 December 1999 (Mw 5.7, 25 fatalities, severe damage ...

The evolution of surface magnetic fields in young solar-type stars

open access: yes, 2013
The surface rotation rates of young solar-type stars decrease rapidly with age from the end of the pre-main sequence though the early main sequence.

Dark‐Toned Halite‐Enriched Veins Above the Marker Band Record a Drying Environment in Gale Crater

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract The Martian surface preserves evidence of a global climate transition from wetter to drier conditions, but the nature of the fluids involved in this evolution remains poorly constrained. In Gale crater, the clay‐sulfate transition and presence of evaporite mineral assemblages can provide insights into the properties of these fluids and the ...

The Sun-as-a-star observations: GOLF & VIRGO on SoHO, and BiSON network

open access: yes, 2013
Sun-as-a-star observations are very important for the study of the conditions within the Sun and in particular for the deep interior where higher degree modes do not penetrate.

Chromosphere of K giant stars Geometrical extent and spatial structure detection

open access: yes, 2011
We aim to constrain the geometrical extent of the chromosphere of non-binary K giant stars and detect any spatial structures in the chromosphere. We performed observations with the CHARA interferometer and the VEGA beam combiner at optical wavelengths ...

Robustness of dark matter constraints and interplay with collider searches for New Physics

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study the implications of dark matter searches, together with collider constraints, on the phenomenological MSSM with neutralino dark matter and focus on the consequences of the related uncertainties in some detail. We consider, inter alia, the latest
