Contact sensitisers activate keratinocytes and induce cytotoxicity via Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 in allergic contact dermatitis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a frequent inflammatory skin disease with limited therapeutic options. While neuronal Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) has been implicated in ACD, the role of keratinocyte TRPA1 remains unclear.

Induced Defense in Ryegrass–Epichloë Symbiosis Against Listronotus bonariensis: Impact on Peramine Levels and Pest Performance

open access: yesJournal of Fungi
The Argentine stem weevil (ASW), a major pest in ryegrass pastures, causes significant agricultural losses. Ryegrass can establish a symbiotic association with Epichloë endophytic fungi, which supply chemical defenses, including peramine.

Gβγ subunit activation of KV7 and BKCa channels underlies calcitonin gene‐related peptide vasorelaxation in myogenic rat coronary resistance arteries

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose CGRP is a potent, clinically relevant coronary vasodilator known to play a role in cardioprotection. Here, we investigated the precise intracellular signalling pathways leading to vasodilation in small coronary arteries.
