On asymmetric hypergraphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
In this paper, we prove that for any $k\ge 3$, there exist infinitely many minimal asymmetric $k$-uniform hypergraphs. This is in a striking contrast to $k=2$, where it has been proved recently that there are exactly $18$ minimal asymmetric graphs. We also determine, for every $k\ge 1$, the minimum size of an asymmetric $k$-uniform hypergraph.

Asymmetric Cosets

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2003
The aim of this work is to present a general theory of coset models G/H in which different left and right actions of H on G are gauged. Our main results include a formula for their modular invariant partition function, the construction of a large set of ...

Asymmetric free spaces and canonical asymmetrizations [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Mathematica, 2021
A construction analogous to that of Godefroy-Kalton for metric spaces allows to embed isometrically, in a canonical way, every quasi-metric space $(X,d)$ to an asymmetric normed space $\mathcal{F}_a(X,d)$ (its quasi-metric free space, also called asymmetric free space or semi-Lipschitz free space).

Asymmetric solutions to asymmetric information problems [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Review of Law and Economics, 2021
This paper studies markets plagued with asymmetric information on the quality of traded goods. In Akerlof's setting, sellers are better informed than buyers. In contrast, we examine cases where buyers are better informed than sellers. This creates an inverse adverse selection problem: the market tends to disappear from the bottom rather than from the ...

SYNERGY OF MULTI-STAKEHOLDERS IN DEFENDING INDONESIA FROM CYBER THREATS

open access: yesJournal of Social Political Sciences, 2021
This paper argues that currently the threat of cyber-attacks has become a real threat that has the potential to develop in Indonesia. With the presence of these cyber-attacks, the government must take advantage of the synergy between state multi-stake ...

Staffing and Capacity Planning for SARS-CoV-2 Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Facilities: A Performance Estimation Calculator Based on Discrete-Event Simulations

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2022
BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic has significantly stressed healthcare systems. The addition of monoclonal antibody (mAb) infusions, which prevent severe disease and reduce hospitalizations, to the repertoire of COVID-19 countermeasures offers the ...

Preparation and DFT studies of chiral Cu (I)-complexes of biphenyl bisoxazolines and their application in enantioselective Kharasch–Sosnovsky reaction

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Effect of a range of t-butyl perbenzoates bearing electron-withdrawing and electron-donating substitutions on the phenyl ring and HZSM-5 as a porous additive at 0 °C in enantioselective allylic C–H bond oxidation of cyclic and acyclic olefins in the ...

Asymmetric Discouragement in Asymmetric Contests [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2016
We provide new experimental evidence which suggests an asymmetric discouragement effect in lottery contests with heterogeneous abilities. Compared to a symmetric contest, subjects invest less effort when facing a stronger opponent, but they invest the same when facing a weaker opponent.

Synthesis of novel phthalimido oxime pseudoesters and evaluation of their cytotoxicity [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2020
A series of novel optically pure oxime pseudoesters derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of substitute keto oximes with various N-substituted α-amino acids chlorides in the presence of triethylamine and dichloromethane at 0°C, and their ...

Asymmetric Obligations [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2011
We use a laboratory experiment to investigate the behavioral effects of obligations that are not backed by binding deterrent incentives. To implement such expressive law' we introduce different levels of very weakly incentivized, symmetric and asymmetric minimum contribution levels (obligations) in a repeated public goods experiment.
