Asymmetric Properties of Office Rent Adjustment [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, 2009
In this paper we use an error correction model for understanding the changes in real office rents for a panel of 15 U.S. MSA’s over the period 1990-2007. We find that office rents in all cities react positively to a rise in office employment and lagged rent changes, while lagged deviations from equilibrium rent levels exhibit a slow and partial ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Vacancy Rate and Rent on the Office Market in Poland - In Search of Asymmetry

open access: yesReal Estate Management and Valuation
A growing body of empirical evidence suggests that adjustments on the office market are not symmetric. The theoretical framework provides various justifications for the presence of frictions, especially in the case of rent and vacancy rate. In this paper,

Financial Conservatism and Speed of Adjustment towards Target Capital Structure: Empirical Evidence from Pakistan [PDF]

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences, 2018
This study is the first to empirically examine whether the speed of adjustment (SOA) of capital structure is asymmetric between financially conservative (FC) and non-financially conservative (NFC) firms in Pakistan over the period 1998-2014.

On the inadequacy of nominal assortativity for assessing homophily in networks

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Nominal assortativity (or discrete assortativity) is widely used to characterize group mixing patterns and homophily in networks, enabling researchers to analyze how groups interact with one another.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Asymmetric Adjustments of U.S. Interest Rates

open access: yesDEStech Transactions on Economics and Management, 2016
Literature on dynamics of the term structure of interest rates supports that the adjustment of interest rate spread may be well described by nonlinear time series models. This paper examines the relationship between the 3-Month Treasury Bill Rate (DTB3) and 10-Year Treasury Rate (DSG10) from January 1962 to November 2015 by employing the Markov ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Asymmetric Adjustment Pass-Through of Oil Price on Transportation Cost

open access: yesJournal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship
This study examines the asymmetric effects of oil prices on transportation costs in Nigeria using monthly data from January 1995 to December 2023. Employing Threshold Autoregressive (TAR) and Momentum Threshold Autoregressive (MTAR) models, the analysis ...
