Harnessing Phase Separation for the Development of High‐Performance Hydrogels
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are indispensable for the development of next‐generation bioelectronics, soft robotics, and biomedical devices, where their mechanical properties determine performance and reliability. Among strategies to enhance hydrogel mechanics, phase separation enables controlled heterogeneity resulting in gel networks that are reinforced by ...

Control of Gear Transmission Servo Systems With Asymmetric Deadzone Nonlinearity [PDF]
This brief deals with the output control problem of gear transmission servo systems with asymmetric deadzone nonlinearity between states. To overcome the difficulty of controller design due to the nondifferentiability of the deadzone, a brand new differentiable asymmetric deadzone model is put forward, which provides an additional design degree of ...

This work presents a magnetic‐bearing acoustic resonator that overcomes the thermodynamics limit of sound absorption. By introducing tunable negative stiffness, it achieves broadband low‐frequency absorption within a compact cavity, far exceeding the performance achievable by classic mass‐tuned designs.

Asymmetric beam-beam effect study in a highly polarized electron-ion collider
The EicC (The highly polarized Electron-ion collider in China) project proposes a scheme with different numbers of bunches in the two rings, which leads to an asymmetric beam-beam effect, also known as the gear-change effect.

A Robotic Testing Platform for Pipelined Discovery of Resilient Dielectric Elastomer Actuators
This work introduces a robotic testing platform enabling high‐throughput, multi‐parameter lifetime mapping of linear dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs). By integrating programmable high‐voltage control and automated electromechanical measurements, the system identifies material and operating conditions that double actuator lifetime.

A Thickness‐Invariant Origami Robot With Integrated Actuation and Multimodal Locomotion
A thickness‐invariant variation on the Yoshimura origami pattern is used as the basis of a robot, allowing power, actuation, and control systems to be embedded within the thickened panels of the pattern. The robot uses multiple kinematic branches to achieve distinct modes of locomotion, such as walking, running, galloping, and turning. ABSTRACT Origami
