Down‐regulation of Shh in the hair follicles of mice during chemotherapy‐induced hair loss is mediated by the JAK/STAT1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Comparing different methods of estimation for Probability of Informed Trading in Tehran Stock Exchange [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه پژوهش‌های اقتصادی ایران, 2019
Easley and O'Hara (1992) introduce Probability of Informed Trading (PIN) concept to measure the degree of asymmetric information in market. Since then there has been a lot of debate on the accuracy of the calculations for PIN.

Engineering tandem VHHs to target different epitopes to enhance antibody‐dependent cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Relational contracting and its combination with the BIM methodology in mitigating asymmetric information problems in construction projects

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2021
Project management in the construction sector is a complex and uncertain process and companies tend to look for the lowest value in the procurement of services and materials. However, contractors do not share the necessary information with the contracted

Stochastic Frontiers and Asymmetric Information Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
This article suggests that the global inefficiency which generally affects a production process is endogenous and depends on the incentives generated by the process environment.
