A Pain in the Buttocks: Practice Article for Sonographically Imaging the Quadratus Femoris and Ischiofemoral Impingement

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
Hip external rotation can cause compression of the quadratus femoris (QF) between the ischial tuberosity and lesser trochanter of the femur, resulting in pain in the buttock, hip, and groin which can radiate down the leg. Ultrasound imaging can demonstrate dynamic impingement of the QF, including symptom provocation.

Long‐Term Outcomes of Low‐Dose Steroid Induction for Autoimmune Pancreatitis: A Multicenter Retrospective Study Identifying Risk Factors for Relapse

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Steroids are the first‐line treatment for autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP); however, the impact of lower initial doses on relapse remains unclear. Methods Ninety patients were divided into high‐dose (HD; > 0.4 mg/kg/day) and low‐dose (LD; ≤ 0.4 mg/kg/day) induction groups. The treatment response, relapse rate, and predictors of relapse
